Does a radio in this collection automatically qualify for cleanroom use?

No. Collection placement is not a cleanroom, sanitation, or hazardous-location certification. Your facility must review the exact equipment and cleaning instructions against its requirements before use.

Can different radio models work together?

Compatibility depends on the frequency band, operating mode, programming, and radio system. Local business radios and network-based WAVE PTX devices do not automatically communicate with one another. Share your current model numbers so we can review the connection before you purchase.

How to choose a pharmaceutical two-way radio

A pharmaceutical site is three radio environments, not one. A QC lab needs something small and quiet enough to work at a bench. A gowned operator needs a radio that can be worn under coveralls and worked without fine motor control. A packaging hall needs volume, battery and sealing. Licensing

The CLP, SL, EVX-S24 and R2 models operate on FCC Part 90 business frequencies and need a business radio license. The CURVE DLR110 runs license-free on the 902–928 MHz ISM band. The TLK25 runs over Wi-Fi and LTE, so no FCC license applies but a WAVE PTX service plan does. Many pharmaceutical sites already hold a Part 90 license from an older fleet — ask facilities before filing anything new. We handle licensing and programming as part of the order.

Cleaning and IP ratings

An IP rating describes ingress protection under a defined test. It says nothing about chemical compatibility, particulate shedding, or whether a surface can be disinfected to any standard. In this lineup the EVX-S24 is IP67 and submersible, the R2 is IP55, the CLP1080e, SL300 and SL3500e are IP54, and the CURVE DLR110 is IP52. Check the cleaning agent against the manufacturer's guidance and remember that earpieces and cables are harder to clean than the housing.
