Which radios use Business Radio CPS?
The supported families include CLS, CLP, Curve, DLR, DTR, RDX, and RM. One Business Radio CPS application covers these families; available settings and connection methods depend on the model.
CP100d, CP200d, R2, R5, R7, SL, XPR and CM MOTOTRBO radios use a different software line. Visit our MOTOTRBO CPS download page or software compatibility guide if you are unsure.
What you need before programming
- A Windows PC that meets the downloaded package's requirements.
- The programming cable, cradle or adapter specified for your exact model. A charging cable alone does not establish programming compatibility.
- A charged radio and its model-specific manual.
- A saved copy of the original configuration before making changes.
Download and install
- Open the Business Radio CPS download page, enter your name and email, and select your radio if known.
- Agree to the communications consent and select Get the Download.
- Use the download button to open the file hosted by BIG Digital Downloads. Keep the email link for later access.
- Follow the package's setup instructions on your Windows PC. Allow the required drivers to install and restart if prompted.
- Connect the radio only as directed by its manual and the software setup instructions.
Read, save, change and verify
- Power the radio and connect the correct programming equipment.
- Select the model or read the radio as directed by Business Radio CPS.
- Save the original configuration with the model, serial number and date.
- Change only settings supported by that model. Keep a written record of each change.
- Write the configuration back using the model's procedure. Keep power and the cable connected while a write is in progress.
- Test one radio with the working fleet before copying settings to additional compatible units.
For licensed radios, use only the frequencies and operating parameters authorized for your business. Follow the model's documentation for license-free models and preset channel plans.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the same software as MOTOTRBO CPS 2.0?
No. Business Radio CPS is a separate application for the business-radio families listed above.
Can I use it on macOS?
It does not run natively on macOS. Use a compatible Windows PC and the required programming equipment.
Does every model use the same cable or expose the same settings?
No. Check the exact model's manual. The shared software does not make the hardware or feature sets interchangeable.
